Lizi’s Treacle & Pecan Granola (400 g)

Gently toasted pecans, as in this Granola, have a lovely warm, golden taste which is better balanced by black treacle (molasses) than any other syrup. A little adds a rich dark flavour without affecting your blood sugar too much. But it’s not just because of the health benefits you should try this Granola – it was a category winner at the 2009 Great Taste awards. It’s great with yoghurt for breakfast, but try sprinkling on vanilla ice cream as a dessert – that’s a revelation.
